Around 50% of this 'running' path is not suitable for running. Starting from Narcisses del Teide the path requires good shoes while I've seen people in sneakers on the track. Long parts leads through loose sand and small round rocks.
What is important the southern part of the loop (south of the Montana de Chio) is not a legal track and using it is forbidden (this is National Park). Please care about the nature you experience.
