The waters of these springs have been remembered since ancient times for their healing properties. Near the source are the remains of an ancient sanctuary, the excavations of the ancient city of Suessula and the hunting lodge of the Spinelli Counts

The waters appear in spring, around March 15, June 23, San Giovanni will be the day of maximum flow of the springs which will stop on September 28 on the day of San Michele. The waters do not emerge every year, probably due to the winter rains and the snow that has fallen on Partenio.
