At the lovely Brook Rest Area with picnic tables the pavement ends and at the crossing of Wildcat Creek bikers can either climb straight ahead on Currant Trail, or turn left, downstream on Wildcat Gorge Trail. Officially no biking is permitted upstream on Wildcat Gorge Trail to Lake Anza, and there are a couple of steep spots that would require pushing.
