The SeaCity Museum opened in 2012 to commemorate the departure of the RMS Titanic on April 10, 2012 from Southampton bound for New York. There are two permanent exhibitions in the museum. The first is all about the sinking of the Titanic. The second exhibition highlights Southampton's historical role as a major port for passenger and cargo ships.
