Ossen is a French commune located in the west of the Hautes-Pyrénées department, in the Occitanie region.
Historically and culturally, the town is in the province of Lavedan, south-western part of Bigorre and consists of a set of seven valleys upstream of the city of Lourdes. Exposed to a mountain climate, it is drained by the Lanusse stream and two other rivers. The town has a remarkable natural heritage: a Natura 2000 site ("granquet-Pibeste and Soum d'Ech"), a protected area (the regional nature reserve of the Pibeste-Aoulhet massif) and three natural areas of ecological and faunal interest and floristics.
