Höpfigheim is a district of Steinheim an der Murr, incorporated in 1973, in the middle of the attractive Bottwar Valley. Höpfigheim belonged to the Counts of Württtemberg since the 14th century. The small castle with gatehouse in the center of the village was originally a moated castle until the moat was filled in in the 18th century and the train bridge was replaced by a stone bridge.
The Georgskirche on Schlossplatz is also worth seeing.
