Nice resting place in a clearing in the middle of the Hainich with historical background. Already in the year 1100 travelers were fed by the Antonius Brotherhood.

A nice rest area at a prominent crossroads (Kammerforster Weg, Rennstieg and old Rennstieg). An information board points out the interesting history of this square. In earlier times there was supposed to be a rest stop for hikers (overnight stays). However, it is said that hikers disappeared again and again and the innkeeper was suspected. Angry people then hung it up on a tree and the hostel fell into disrepair over time.
