The approximately 1.4 km long Cold Ach is the left, shorter source flow of the Nau. It springs from the karst springs Baders pond, also called Bunzenmüller pond, and the spoon fountain in Langenau. Shortly after the Baders pond, a small arm of the southern Warmmen Ach is fed to her. At the Wörthstraße, this source branch merges with the one from the Löffelbrunnen. Until 1960, the water of this source was fed into the drinking water supply Langenaus. The so-called "Pumphäusle" is reminiscent of this historic time. A little further east, the cold Ach is strengthened by the Kalmenbrunnen.
