The first railway line, which was built in today's Oberwart district, was the route Steinamanger - Pinkafeld. The exhibition of their concession took place on December 6, 1887 by the Hungarian Ministry of Commerce. At the conclusion of this concession Count Stephan Erdődy had a large share. Since today's Burgenland was a West Hungarian territory until land takeover in 1921, the railway lines in this area did not lead to large Austrian cities but were aligned with the Hungarian centers. The owner of the railway line, the Steinamanger - Pinkafelder AG, opened the line on December 17, 1889

The train station is becoming more and more overgrown, windows and doors are boarded up. Too bad.
The station is said to be under monument protection
