For me, this is the perfect section to get out of the Eder Valley without any major climbs. It leads from Nieder-Werbe via Ober-Werbe and Alraf to the Meineringhausen barbecue hut, emerging about 1 km before/after the village. Not suitable for road bikes, but all the more enjoyable for gravel, mountain bikes, and trekking bikes. Only in the lower section are there a few singletrack-like passages where trekking cyclists might need to be a little careful (a bit steeper and not gravel, but forest floor).

Cycling

The forest path is clearly part of the Eder Cycle Path ER1, which runs from Meineringhausen to Niederwerbe and the Edersee lake – and vice versa, of course. The path is partly paved, partly through the forest, partly along the Werbe river (idyllic!), and partly on narrow forest tracks that might not be so great to ride on when wet. Otherwise, it's a fantastic flow trail (downhill ;-)). It's also quite manageable uphill. A very beautiful, and in some parts very idyllic, route!
