The path around the rice fields is suggestive if you observe the conduits at the edges of the fields which convey the water from one basin to another. Apart from this the landscape is obviously flat and without shelter from the heat. The very rare trees never offer shelter to wayfarers and on sunny and sultry days it could become a problem if you don't have an abundant supply of water.
