This statue was erected on the limestone cliff of the Horn in 1912 by the inhabitants of Wolxheim with the secret hope of being spared the war that we felt was close. On the base are engraved words of peace from Christ at a time when only war was spoken of. The statue of the Sacred Heart is oriented towards Fort Mutzig. The statue of the Horn was entitled to a renovation in 2012 for the 100 years of its creation.
