The maintained trail comes to an end on the gravel shore of Harlequin Lake, but you can continue hiking along the lakeshore for miles if you so desire.

On clear days you can also see the Yakutat Glacier in the far distance; its meltwater feeds this lake, and sometimes icebergs from the glacier float to shore.
