Tips
From the bridge where it goes uphill, along the old levada, it is critical at the moment. From the stream it is very narrow and extremely muddy. I went back down. No grip despite wearing sturdy shoes. With an ice pick like you would use for climbing, I'm sure it will work somehow. Not really for the elderly or those who are afraid of heights.
