The monastery church of St. George of the Benedictine Abbey of Weltenburg at the Danube Gorge near Kelheim in Bavaria is one of the most important sacred buildings of the Baroque era in Europe. The monastery church was built between 1716 and 1718 and subsequently furnished by the Asam brothers in the late Baroque style.
