CNR Wellington Bridge is a Historical landmark.
This large swing truss bridge which used to bring trains along to the Montreal Central Station has been abandoned in the open position. Although the machinery house is deteriorated, the bridge otherwise retains integrity of original design and materials. Its presence helps provide a seldom-seen historical context to Griffintown and the Lachine Canal, both of which are now highly developed with residences. It was disused in 1970.

The swing bridge was built in 1912 and used until 1966. But as early as 1930 it lost its main function as an access track to the main station when a new elevated line was built and the main line was relocated.
