Císařská studánka is located near the railway station in Nedvědice, under the railway crossing. It was modified in 1879. Since 1976, it has been one of the monitored springs of the HMÚ in terms of yield and temperature. The flow is usually between 7 - 20 l/min. and conductivity 400 - 450 uS/cm. Calcium and magnesium content around 80 mg/l and bicarbonates 120 - 170 mg/l. By the standards of the Highlands, the water is relatively hard, but from the point of view of other locations in Moravia, its hardness is rather below average. A large amount of chlorides could be expected at the spring under the road, therefore the measured 18 - 28 mg/l is quite a good condition. The nitrate content is around 20 mg/l. Since the beginning of the 21st century, similar to other similar shallow springs, there has been a noticeable decrease in the required hydrocarbonates despite the overall increase in hardness.
