Piazza Maria Immacolata is one of the most beautiful and popular squares in Taranto. It is located in the city centre, between the main shopping and cultural streets and was originally dedicated to Giordano Bruno, the philosopher condemned to the stake for his revolutionary ideas. It is very large and is adorned with palm trees, fountains and statues.
