Piazza del Popolo, in San Severino, has an elliptical shape and is surrounded by arcades. In ancient times it served as a market place, but its current configuration is the result of architectural interventions ranging from the early 15th century to the end of the 19th century. The town hall, the Feronia theater and the church of San Giuseppe overlook the square.
