Just past the Palm Spring historical marker in the sandy wash is an iconic “Hollywood and Vine” street sign on the left side. It is one of many signs that were placed in the desert by James A. Jasper, a county supervisor for San Diego, during his tenure between 1895 and 1904. Primitive camping is also available in the area just up the hill.
