The Reserva Ecológica El Ángel (REEA) is a nature reserve in northern Ecuador, province of Carchi, in the parishes of La Libertad and El Ángel del cantón Espejo. The Polylepis Lodge is recommended as a starting point. This is where the idea of designating this paramo as a nature reserve started. Guided nature tours are offered (only for hotel guests?).
