The Elkenrother pond, fed by the Elbbach, offers a circular route, which is very wurzellastig, for touring bikes not so very suitable.

The 22km long Elbbach rises just before the Elkenrother Weiher and flows first through it and then on via Dickendorf, Elben, Dauersberg, Mittelhof to Wissen Schönstein, where it flows into the Sieg. There are two very beautiful valley sections between Elkenroth and Dickendorf, as well as below Dauersberg and Mittelhof. A paradise for children and adults!

The "Elger" pond in the middle of a water protection area invites you to linger. Numerous benches and a small viewing platform on the circular path around the water offer the opportunity to do so.
