Stringers Ridge is a small portion of eastern woodland habitat just across the Tennessee River from downtown Chattanooga. It's a good place to see plants and animals endemic to the region like box turtles, barred owls, and all manner of trees and fungi. Note that hikers and mountain bikers share the same path, but travel in opposite directions dictated by the day of the week.
