Lake Ferring (Danish: Ferring Sø) is a 320-hectare brackish lake in West Jutland in Lemvig Municipality, about ten kilometers west of Lemvig. The lake is just north of the village of Ferring and has an average depth of 1.4 meters and a maximum depth of 2.4 metres. Only a narrow coastal strip separates the lake from the open North Sea.An old cliff borders the lake to the east. On the west side, which borders the sea, there is a dune landscape. A path for pedestrians and cyclists, about ten kilometers long, leads around the lake. At the edge of the path there are tables and benches in several places. On the eastern side of the lake, the path leads through a hilly landscape shaped by the Ice Age with high, steep slopes, which used to form the shoreline. A cycle path runs between the sea and the lake as part of the North Sea Cycle Path. (Source: Wiki)
