Former French Mine Depot on the Scheinberg

These are many rectangular concrete foundations, formerly in severely sealed off cleared terrain (from 1953) for ammunition corrugated iron huts of the French occupying army. The beautiful forest that we see today has regrown since the military left in the 1970s. It is a secluded quiet place where one can imagine, with a little imagination, walking around and discovering the often hidden foundations, which used to be a military giant.

Finding the hiking signs from Maulburg is a bit confusing. The position of the sign and the 2 concrete foundations does not match the signpost. According to the hiking signs, a concrete foundation further to the north is assigned.
