    Hiking

The Salt Basin Overlook is a remote spot on the far western side of the Guadalupe escarpment. It is located down a spur trail off and provides sweeping views of Salt Basin in front of you and El Capitan and the rest of the Guadalupe mountains behind you. You aren't likely to see many other people at this overlook so it is a great place to rest after a long hike and enjoy the amazing views in solitude.
