    The cave is really big and is highly recommended, the view from there is terrific. You can also go inside the cave, but at your own risk. Don't forget your flashlight and jacket, it can be very cool inside. The way there is very badly marked and I could only find the way to the cave with my Garmin Montana. We started from the plateau at the Idean grotto and you walk completely alone on the huge plateau. The path is easy to walk on, but requires surefootedness and hiking boots. In summer the temperatures are appropriate and therefore you should take at least 3 liters of water or appropriate liquid with you.

      We tried it today from Kamares and have to say that the path is in very bad condition and basically no longer passable. We turned around about 200 meters below the cave at the end(?) of the water pipe because we couldn't find the path even with very precise navigation and we were fed up with the rubble. It's a shame, I did the path once about 30 years ago and we got up there without any problems and without cell phones (which hadn't been invented anyway). So I only recommend it for the hard-core hikers from Kamares.
