It was built in the 16th-17th centuries. Built in the typical Maasland style in the 19th century and has service buildings from the 19th century.

The Canons' House functioned as a religious counterpart to the Loon town hall. The building was renovated around 2009 and now serves as an administrative center. Other recommendations include Loonse Town Hall, Sint-Odulfuskerk, Burgtheuvel, etc.

Next to the aforementioned house is another canon's house, usually called "Het Kanunnikenhuis". This house, from 1670, is built in Maasland style. It used to be in a closed courtyard, and is accessible through an entrance gate. The brick complex includes a residential house with a semi-built-in square tower. Remarkable is the slate-covered wooden superstructure. The building has horizontal bands of marlstone and also corner bands, while the windows are framed with limestone. The side facades are designed as a curling facade.

In the house you can still find fireplaces from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. The staircase and the doors are 18th century.

To the right of the house is another service building, with a transverse barn at right angles that still shows half-timbering. The house was restored in the early 1990s and is now used by the municipality of Borgloon.
