The Wildcat Trail can be hiked from either the north or south trailheads. If hiking from the southern trailhead, the trail can be joined together with the Belknap Springs Trail in order to make your way to the Twin Pillars. Wildcat passes through alpine forests and along ridgelines. The area was badly damaged during a wildfire so you will see lots of charred tree remains.
