A different experience than the original poster. Do motorized vehicles use the trail? Yes. But, rom my experience, they try to keep the trail maintained, a difficult task. Overall, in 2021 and 2023, I found the trail to be good quality (as the photo shows) in comparison to other sections of the BC Trail.

Consistently very bad surface, the entire path is destroyed by quads and enduros, nobody cares about an upgrade
