    The shrine was built in 1887 by the spouses Gerhard Westhoff (1818 -1894) and Angela Pohlmann (* 1832). Dilapidated and damaged, the Heimatverein Ostenfelde had the shrine rebuilt in 1988. Josef Kötter collected a total of 1,070 DM for the "Ostenfeldern" with the given name Josef. The renovation of the statue, which had been willfully destroyed, was taken over by the company Rottendorf from Ennigerloh.
