Enjoy views of the Franklin Mountains and native desert vegetation on the Lower Sunset portion of the Sunset Loop. There is a picnic area at the southern end of the trail, which makes a great spot for a trail lunch or a rest. After gaining about 800' of elevation, hikers enjoy stunning views of the desert valley below. Dogs and mountain bikes are both allowed on the trail.
