Plankstetten Abbey, impressively situated on a slope in the Sulztal valley between Beilngries and Berching, is one of the most impressive and artistically valuable monastic complexes in the Altmühltal Nature Park and is considered a monument of national importance. The complex is not a museum, but the place of residence and work for a living Benedictine monastic community. The monastery tavern offers organic beer, brewed by the Riedenburger brewery, and delicious food. The organic shop and its associated wine cellar have everything to make a gourmet's heart beat faster.
