Now a small fishing village and a popular place for sailing, Baltimore was once a base for pirates. From here you can take a ferry to Cape Clear, Sherkin Island and Heir Island if you want to explore further afield. The 13th century castle, Dún na Séad, keeps watch over the harbour.
