It was redeveloped in 2016 by the Regional Landscape Houtland. The fence was replaced by an evergreen hedge of holly. The inner space was divided into 'rooms' by means of beech hedges. In the farewell zone you can see a central concrete element on which the coffin stands during the farewell ceremony. During the refurbishment, they chose to work without pesticides. To this end, a flower mixture was sown to reduce intensive maintenance.

The historic cemetery is located along the walking network of the Bulskampveld Landscape Park. Together with the historical buildings and the landscape decor of the institution, it forms a piece of the social history of the Bulskampveld. Hikers can experience these aspects of the Landscape Park during a visit to the domain.
The upgrading of this site took place within the framework of the 'Veldgebied Brugge' land development project and was financed by the Brothers of Charity and the Flemish Land Agency.

It was built in 1929. The plot is partially enclosed by a hedge, replaced in some places by a wire fence. Accessible via wrought iron gates on concrete pillars and then a central gravel path leading to a calvary, closed by bluestone pillars with a wrought iron chain in between. To the left of the Calvary, the final resting place of the friars, to the right, the resting place of the Capuchin Fathers. Monumental cedar next to Calvary. More than double used cemeteries on which originally a white wooden cross, today blue stone crosses on a square base. Until December 1981, patients and residents were buried here. Afterwards it became the resting place of the brothers of Huize Sint-Arnoldus. The cemetery is owned by the municipality of Beernem.
