Béhuard Village

The village is built entirely in a flood zone and between December and May it is not uncommon for streets to be flooded. Here people have learned to live in the rhythm of the Loire.

The town of Béhuard is the only island village on the Loire. This little gem of nature and history is located in the heart of the Loire Valley, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, about fifteen kilometers southwest of Angers.
