From the Summit Loop Trail you can see dramatic, rocky cliffs and ledges nestled among the trees. Porcupines actually make their dens up here, but they are rather elusive and mostly nocturnal. This scenic section of trail encompasses the highest points in Kirchner Woods where mountain bikes are not allowed making it a quiet, peaceful section of Kirchner Woods.
