This stone entrance gate to Point Park, a 10-acre battlefield site operated by the National Park Service, was built to resemble the logo of the Army Corps of Engineers. There is a visitor center inside, but there is a fee to enter.

With viewpoints overlooking Moccasin Bend, historical buildings and informational signs, and a load of trail access, Point Park is a pretty popular spot on Lookout Mountain. It's cool to run through the park at the top of the mountain before taking a trail back down to the bottom.

Point Park is a popular spot on Lookout Mountain for the views of Moccasin Bend and the historical buildings within the park. The New York Peace Monument is also located in the park, which is a symbol of reconstruction after the Civil War.
