The Hornberg Basin is the upper reservoir of the Wehr pumped-storage power plant, whose lower reservoir is the Wehratalsperre. It is located near Herrischried (Hornberg district) and the town of Wehr in the Waldshut district of Baden-Württemberg, on the summit of the Langen Eck, the highest mountain in the Hotzenwald forest. With a reservoir level of 1,048 meters above sea level, the Hornberg Basin is the highest reservoir in Germany.
