The striking Schlagwitz village church, which characterizes the townscape, was rebuilt in 1902 on the site of a dilapidated late Gothic predecessor. The tabernacle and a dozen medieval figures of the apostles have been preserved from the past Catholic period. The consistently neo-Romanesque architectural style of the building shell, its furnishings and organ show a surprisingly richly decorated, genuine architectural example of this style.
