Over the top of the children's playground you can see the ruins of the Church of Ireland Monivea. Consecrated in 1769, all that remains today is the belltower. The roof of the church collapsed in 1955 after it fell out of use in the 1920s. You can see the way that nature is overtaking the church with greenery peaking out from the top of the tower and the windows.
