The primitive parish church was built between the 5th and 6th centuries between the river Codolo and the current Piazza Marconi, where the Town Hall stands; this church had the apse facing east, while the façade, preceded by a portico, faced west.
In the fifteenth century the presbytery and the choir were built; in 1835 the church was the subject of an expansion intervention.
In 1906 the first stone of the new parish church was laid, designed by Vincenzo Rinaldo (the author of the facade of the Church of Saints Rocco and Domenico in Conegliano); in 1930 the building was completed, neo-Gothic and surmounted by a large dome. The structure was built starting from the pre-existing church, whose nineteenth-century facade, facing the river Codolo, can still be seen on the right side, with its sixteenth-century portal: in fact, the church today looks towards the Pontebbana.

The church of San Fior, a sacred building of great historical and artistic importance, was born between the 5th and 6th centuries in the area between the Codolo river and the current Piazza Marconi, where the Town Hall stands.
The current structure with dome is twentieth-century, in neo-Gothic style, built to a design by Vincenzo Rinaldo starting from the pre-existing sacred building.
