On October 6, 1513, Bishop Lorenz von Bibra from Würzburg consecrated the first church. The new church was built around 1792 as a simple village room. Obscured by the view of the castle. The half-timbered building has a clock tower.
The baptismal font with a broken stone rose dates from 1624.

The church was renovated outside in 1989 and inside in 1995.
