The lake is located in the Beech Forest, in a narrow deep depression (slopes above 20 m relative height). The coastline is undeveloped. From the southern end of the lake flows a stream of the same name, i.e. Wężówka. At the north-western end of the lake, there is a tourist trail called the PTTK “Wiercipieta” black trail.
It is a very nicely located water reservoir located in a clear gutter with steep slopes and - as the name suggests - with a large colony of grass snakes, which are very easy to find basking in the sun on warm spring and summer days
