Road cycling

The Zeulenrodaer were formerly known for their good carp from their own ponds. Therefore, according to legend, one day they were called to help by the princely lords in Greiz to fish their castle pond. However, it was dirty and the carp there tasted of mud. So one of the Zeulenrodaer is said to have shouted: "We whistle on your carp" - henceforth the helpers were known as carp whistlers. And that's why this fountain here adorns the market square in front of the town hall.
