Take your time to climb all the way up the majestic Uludağ – also known as the ancient Mysian Olympus. With a height of 2,542 meters at Kartaltepe Peak it is the highest mountain of the Marmara region and towers high above the beautiful forested landscape. There is an old wolfram mine at the summit that was built in 1974 and closed just 15 years later since it was not profitable.
