The view of the valley which takes its name from the name of the great Rhône river which crosses it. The climate of this valley is generally warmer than that of neighboring valleys. Winds called foehn (dry, strong, hot winds) are common in this region. According to several sources, it is one of the driest regions in this part of Switzerland.
