East Friesland's first cycle path church is in Forlitz-Blaukirchen. Along the 3-Meere-Weg, the church offers all cyclists the opportunity to stop and rest from Easter to the end of October. Cycling

In 1847, construction began on the new church in Forlitz. Building materials from the two old churches and church towers that had been demolished were reused. The church was consecrated in 1848, around a year after construction began. It is a simple brick building in the classicist style.
