The Roll of Justice represents a symbol of the jurisdiction of Bolaños. In 1229, when Doña Berenguela donated the Villa to the Order of Calatrava, she set 3 conditions, among which was that the mayors of Bolañegos be the ones to administer justice in the municipality. For two centuries this was not fulfilled, and it was not until the 15th century when the Master of Calatrava, Pedro Girón, recognized the rights and privileges granted by the Queen. In this way, and in honor of him, this monument was raised.

Hiking

This roll has had various locations, being the place where the sentences imposed by the local courts were sentenced and executed.

It is the original and has been at the entrance of the town for a long time, arriving from Almagro, in a small square that has been remodeled and inaugurated now, in January 2022.

It was erected in the 15th century, after granting the Order of Calatrava its own jurisdiction to the town.
