The parish church of Traismauer was built over the ruins of the Roman command building. It was built around 800 as St. Martin's Church, later in the 13th century. Demolished and rebuilt as the Romanesque parish church of St. Rupert, Gothicized and expanded in the Baroque period.Parts of the first Roman camp and a burial from the Carolingian period can be seen in the lower church.
